A Warm Welcome
When you first walk through the doors of Norton College, you will be met by members of our hosting team who will: give you a warm welcome, be able to answer any questions you may have, and take you to the hall where our services take place.

Songs
During the service we will take some time to sing songs, you will hear this being called “worship”. This is an opportunity for us to thank God for who He is and for all He has done for us. Our songs are contemporary and upbeat, done either through live music or videos. All lyrics appear on the screen, and you are welcome to join in, or just listen if you prefer.

Talk
At Elim Ryedale, we believe the Bible has so much to teach us about how to live our lives. During the service, the pastor or guest speaker will give a relevant to life Bible based talk for around 30 minutes, this will seek to encourage, inspire and challenge us to live for Jesus within our families, workplaces and local communities.

Offering
Every Sunday we take up an offering. This is an opportunity for the church family to thank God for all He has done and gifted to us, by giving financially towards the work of the church in the local community. If you are visiting, there is no obligation to give, however, you are more than welcome if you would like to do so.

Communion
During the service we often have a time of communion. This is when we remember Jesus’ sacrifice in dying for us on the cross by taking the bread and juice which represent His body given for us and His blood shed for us. If you are a believer in Jesus, you are welcome to join with us.

Refreshments
Refreshments are just as important to us as the church service. This is a time after the service when we get an opportunity to grab a drink and have a catch up with one another. If you are visiting, please do come and say hi, we would love to meet you.
