The Festival of Music 5 takes place on Friday 4th May, 7:30pm at Hope Central. This evening can be summarised in two words; showcasing talent. We have many talented musicians in the church and we always have a wide variety of performers, both young and old, who encompass a range of genres. If you would like to be one of these people, whether you’ve never performed in public before or whether you are a seasoned professional, please let us know as soon as possible. We also need lots of people to come and enjoy this relaxing evening as part of the audience. Tickets cost £2 and are available by phoning the office on (01653) 697796. Your support is appreciated!

Learn to Nordic Walk Course

4th – 25th May, 9:30am at Hope Central

Pauline Straw will be teaching a ‘Learn to Nordic Walk’ Course beginning on Friday 4th May, 9:30am at Hope Central. The course lasts for four weeks, each session is one hour long and it is completely free of charge. Booking is essential which can be done by phoning the number below or speaking to Pauline personally.
Nordic Walks will also continue to take place throughout the month of May, every Friday at 11am from Hope Central.

Salsa Dancing

Every Saturday Night in May, 7-8pm at Hope Central

Come and enjoy that Latin spirit with a FREE evening of dance, fun and laughter! All are welcome either with or without a partner. Soft drinks will be provided and there is the option to stay until 8:30pm to practice what you have learned.

Euro 2012

There will be the opportunity to see all the England matches for Euro 2012 on the Big Screen so why not come and enjoy the atmosphere in the hope of celebrating their success?

Jubilee Celebrations

Monday 4th June, 2pm – 5pm at Malton and Norton Rugby Club

We are working with the We Love Malton committee to host a Family Diamond Jubilee Celebration at Malton and Norton Rugby Club on Bank Holiday Monday 4th June. The event starts at 2 pm and closes at 5 pm. Initially we planned to run our own event on Tuesday 5th June but were asked to partner with the We Love Malton committee and so we have agreed to support their event and hope that we can all serve and work together to host a great event worthy of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. We have been asked to provide face painting, tuck shop and performance area where there will be various entertainers and the opportunity for any of our budding musicians to perform. We will also be running lots of fun family races and remote control car races. We have borrowed a marquee but we will need lots of volunteers to help put the marquee up in the morning, and
volunteers to face paint and to help run the races. If you could volunteer for the whole afternoon or just a couple of hours please call the office so we can put your name down. There will also be a Tug of War competition and we have been asked to enter a team. If you would like to be part of the team let us know.

Reason to Believe with Mark Greenwood

Monday 18th and 25th June, thenMonday 2nd, 9th and 16th July, all at Hope Central

Mark Greenwood will be leading a 5 week course answering the most frequently asked questions about Christianity. Each session is held at Hope Central, starts at 7:30pm, is free and includes a meal and a talk by Mark Greenwood. Please invite your friends!
