For several years we have collected food to fill the emergency food cupboard for residents at the YMCA. This has been really appreciated so can we encourage you to keep going. They will receive anything that can be stored to make a simple meal such as dried goods, tins, pasta sauces etc.. They have also found toothpaste, soap, deodorant and other basic hygiene products really helpful so please consider offering these too. Margaret and George Jennison leave a container each Sunday at the back of the school hall labelled Food Aid and then deliver what is collected each week. We are also finding at Hope Central that we are being approached more and more to supply groceries to people in the town and so in response to this we would like to build up a supply of food parcels there too. If when you shop you could by an extra item and drop it off we will definitely be able to pass it on to someone in need. Thank you!
