Becky Ibbotson – Schools’ Children’s Worker

All About Me…
My name is Becky Ibbotson and I have been employed by Elim Ryedale Church since 2013, firstly as a School’s Children’s Worker and more recently as the Project Director for the Lift the Lid project.  I am still involved in the children’s work for the church and I oversee G-Force Sunday and G-Force Wednesday which is held at Hope Central. My role is varied and very exciting and although there are never two days the same, every day is both a joy and a privilege as I encounter each child’s individual personality.

I live locally, I love chocolate as it is an essential tool for anyone working with children and both my husband and my two grown-up daughters think I could do with a bit more ‘growing-up’ myself. Life is fun!

G-Force Sunday

G-Force is a growing church for children of School Years 1-6 but this is no ordinary church! Children are encouraged to grow in their knowledge of God, discover their individual giftings and recognise they’re never too young to be used for God’s purpose. We do this in an interactive, encouraging and fun way through song, role-play, crafts and games.

We meet during our Morning Service at Norton College; the service starts at 10am and the children leave the main service for   G-Force at approximately 11:10am.

G-Force Wednesday

G-Force Wednesday is our midweek children’s club held at Hope Central.  The session includes games, stories, craft activites and much more to encourage children to learn more about God.

We meet between 5.30pm – 7.00pm at Hope Central and the session is specifically designed for children aged 7-11 years.  You don’t have to be attenders of Elim Ryedale Church for your children to attend this midweek club – everyone is welcome!
